Imran is an award-winning Associate Creative Director and was named Campaign's Top 100 Hottest Creatives in 2021. Thanks to the amazing teams he’s worked with, he’s snagged shiny metals at the One Show, Clio’s, Gongs, Markies and others.
Throughout his career, he's had the honour of leading and working on incredible brands like Mercedes-Benz, VISA, Tiger Beer, Ministry of Health Singapore, McDonald's, SONY, Samsung and Coca-Cola.
Imran is also obsessed with all things craft - from leathermaking (he’s handstitched one decent wallet in 15 years), to handwoven rugs (he used to run his own online store called Rug-Addict), to of course, writing (that's how he keeps the lights on these days).
A little backstory worth reading - Imran joined the ad scene with BBDO Singapore almost a decade ago as a copy + art intern. This was most likely due to the fashion photography work in his portfolio at the time (Yes, he used to be a photographer). Three months later, he was asked which of the two roles he preferred, to which he answered, 'Copy'. His ECD at the time was relieved, knowing full well Imran would have made a subpar Art Director. His ECD was right. Nevertheless, Imran's knack for craft in both art and copy has taken him some distance in the industry.
Today, alongside his Creative Director, Imran helps to lead the killer creative team at Digitas and Publicis Groupe on the day-to-day (clients love them), pitches (they’ve won a couple) and proactive work (they’ve launched a proud few). Imran is growing old and sideways, but he always feels like he's just getting started (in a really good way).
