A mock advertising awareness campaign educating anti-discrimination, focusing on the top three most discriminated against: Muslims, Gays & Lesbians and Blacks. (PEW Research Centre 2014)
The chewing gum stuck to the sole of the shoe represents the harsh and thoughtless opinions of society, causing the victims to be stuck and unable to move forward and progress into everyday lives. The chewing gum forms the words 9/11, Fag and Nig. Photographed and edited by me.
9/11
“I arrived at Goucher College as the only Arab Muslim male. All the college administrators, and chaplain, accused me of being suicidal and a violent threat on campus. I was deemed a controversial security risk and a bomb threat drill was performed. I never cried so hard in my life and it sent me into a silence of solitude.”

FAG
“I was 21 when I first began teaching. Every week, at least one student  would call me “fag” and storm out of the classroom and
expecting me, like the stereotypical faggot, to be completely powerless. But when a fifteen year-old student interrupts your lesson to tell you that he “hopes you die of AIDS,” every thing else goes out the window.”
Christopher Records, 27
NIG
“I was on the bus one day going to the mall. I sat by a white person and as I'm sitting, I can see they think all black people like to steal. This man moved his bag, and the lady I was sitting next to moved her purse and said 'Sorry, I don't trust niggers.'
I got off the bus and everyone started clapping”
